Showing concern over politicisation of Indian Army, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that Opposition parties should not use Indian jawans as political pawn instead they should talk about development.
“It is unethical for political parties to drag Indian Army jawans in politics. The parties should talk about development. The BJP is committed to implement scheme that would benefit common man,” Singh said while addressing a rally in Jhansi where second leg of the Parivartan Yatra was flagged off on Sunday.
He also said that in last two-and-half-year rule of Modi Government not a single corruption charge has been leveled against us. The Modi Government has taken India to the path of prosperity. Our economy is also on the upswing which has been acknowledged by the global agencies, he said.
“Pakistan cannot digest India’s progress therefore is throwing spanner time and again. The Indian Government has issued warning asking Pakistan to mend its way otherwise we would be forced to carry another strike,’ Union Home Minister said as people shouted Bharat Mata Ki Jai.
He also spoke about plight of UP by saying when he was the Chief Minister he had toured length and breadth of the State and is well conversant with the problems people are facing. “I know in Bundelkhand people are not getting water. Not to talk about paddy even their wheat was destroyed. If BJP comes to power in UP the water crisis will be over within two years,” he declared.
“The Union Government has sent over `3 thousand crore for farmers but the state Government has not released that money. During Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure villages were linked with cities. This Government stopped that project but we will ensure that all villages are linked to district headquarters with all-seasoned roads,” he said.
Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharati said that she was in favour of creation of Bundelkhand but as this area is spread across two States that is creating problems. Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra said that Union Government has given a special package to Bundelkhand but State Government failed to implement that. Farmers are forced to commit suicide here because of lack of development and Government apathy. The only solution to this problem is bringing BJP back to power in UP.
