Dismiss UPA Govt: BJP memo to Bihar Guv

Published on:

As a part of the party’s nation wide agitation, a high-level delegation of Bihar BJP submitted a memorandum to State Governor DY Patil at Raj Bhawan in Patna on Saturday, demanding dismissal of the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre.

Members of the delegation included BJP general secretary JP Nadda, vice-president CP Thakur and State party president Mangal Pandey.

BJP leaders said that the UPA Government has become a synonym for the corruption as a new corruption case is being disclosed every other day.

Though corruption cases are being reported from one Ministry after another, BJP leaders mainly highlighted scams in 2G Spectrum and coal blocks allocations.

They also pointed out that the Congress was “misusing” the JPC with an objective to shield Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram, who should explain their respective positions by deposing before the JPC.
