Congress general secretary and known baiter of Prime Minister Modi Digvijay Singh on Thursday hailed Prime Minister’s recent trip to Japan. Digvijay Singh was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an Asian Arab Chamber of Commerce event in Bangalore and gave full credit to Prime Minister Modi for his successful visit to Japan.
He said, “We welcome Prime Minister’s visit to Japan and we also welcome his personal relationship with the Prime Minister of Japan. It is a matter of great comfort that Narendra Modi and Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe have very close personal relationship.
During Modi’s five-day visit recently, Japan promised to give 35 billion dollars to India over the next five years for developmental projects.
On sacking of Congress MP from Kerala Shashi Tharoor, Digvijay Singh said Shashi still enjoys the confidence in the Congress. He said, “He is still a member of the Congress. The only thing which has happened is that he has been taken out from the list of spokespersons. That is all. Therefore, to us Shashi Tharoor still enjoys a high-level of confidence among the Congressmen.”
