Didi says ‘no comment’ on Rahul PMship

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee too has chosen not to speak beforehand on the issue of DMK leader MK Stalin’s projecting Congress president Rahul Gandhi as the prime ministerial candidate of the projected grand alliance of the anti-BJP parties.

Suggesting that the time was not ripe to make a choice or entertain such discussions, the Chief Minister said, “I am not alone. We are all working together. So whatever all the political parties who have come together decide we will accept that. Now is not the right time. Let us hope for the day when there will be a good change.”

She was responding on Thursday to a question on whether she too felt like Stalin that Gandhi was the right choice for the top job.

Incidentally the Trinamool Congress leaders have often projected Mamata herself as a prime ministerial candidate considering his track record as an administrator and a messenger of development.
