Didi joins forces with Kejri against Modi

Bengal Chief Minister on Tuesday joined forces with an “enemy’s enemy” to criticise the Centre for what she said “perpetrating in India not only religious but also political and economic intolerance,” so that the “entire nation is in the grip of fear.”

Banerjee threw her weight behind Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal who launched a scathing attack on PM Narendra Modi after the CBI raided the office of a senior bureaucrat of Delhi Government.

“I have just heard from my party colleagues that the Chief Minister’s office in Delhi has been raided. This is unprecedented. I am stunned by it” Banerjee told a public rally in Malda adding she could see an “unwritten Emergency” going on in the country where the “entire nation has come in the grip of fear.”

On religious intolerance Banerjee said that “some parties are trying to divide the country in the name of religion in order to garner votes. But I will ask people not to fall in their trap and maintain peace instead.”

The CM who mostly concentrated on alleged “economic exploitation” of Bengal by the Centre had not only stopped funds for a number of developmental schemes “it also takes away large number of revenue earned by the State. Every year it takes away `28,000 crore as the interest of the debt left by the previous left Front Government. This has left us impoverished and we cannot carry forward our developmental schemes.”
