Mamata Banerjee on Thursday called upon the women of India to unite and throw BJP out of power in 2019. The Bengal Chief Minister who was addressing a gathering of Trinamool Congress women’s wing said the saffron outfit was the biggest threat to India’s unity and had to bepulled down to save the great nation.
“I appeal to all the women of India to unite against the BJP if you want to save this great nation, its rich culture, society, economy right up to the individual family level” because the saffron outfit was the “biggest threat to India,” she said once again attacking the Narendra Modi Government for using apart from money power, the central agencies and forces to destablise the regional Governments “as it did in Tripura.”
She said, “we have all the evidences and documents to show how the BSF is being used to distribute money in the border districts of Bengal to create political unrest,” insisting “we know full well how the central agencies and forces were used in Tripura to win the elections with sheer money power.”
Apparently nervous about the possible impact of saffron outfit’s phenomenal success in the North-eastern State in Bengal, Banerjee otherwise a strong communist-baiter said the BJP splurged money like water in Tripura to win the elections there and blamed the left Front for failing to see through the saffron outfit’s “nefarious designs.”
Even after using the central forces, spending so much of money, engineering defection in the Congress and striking an unholy alliance with the local tribal parities by promising them a State by breaking Tripura the BJP won the election there by a narrow margin, she said.
“Now they are trying to use the same strategy in Bengal but will fail in their endeavour,” she said adding the BJP’s days were numbered in the Centre as its own friends were gradually deserting that party. “Do you listen to the voices of rebellion in the Shiv Sena, the TDP and other partiesIJ Gradually all your alliance partners will leave you. Soon you will see it in Bihar, Rajasthan, MP, Karnataka as local polls show that you stand to lose elections in these States.”
With no love lost between BJP and the Trinamool Congress, Banerjee had been constantly attacking the saffron outfit which recently has goneto town with the call of defeating TMC in Bengal in the coming panchayat and next year’s general elections, before finally throwing it out in 2021.
