Addressing a Press conference in Ahmedabad senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Manish Tiwari criticised NDA Government at centre for its ‘failure’. Tiwari said that NDA Government had failed on parameters as Internal Security, Economy, Foreign Policy, Communal harmony and upholding the principles of federalism.
“We want to ask Prime Minister to answer the basic question as to how have you been able to better the life of common man in last two yearsIJ This is the basic question PM needs to answer. You promised Achhe Din and Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas,” said the Congress leader.
He went on to enlist Central Government’s failure, including issue of intolerance, attack on federalism by NDA by quoting examples of Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh.
“This is a Government which has no idea about its own policy of dealing with Pakistan. UPA dealt firmly with China and today the
relationship seems to have gone completely awry, with China opposing India on more than one international platform. What has global rallies of PM with Indian diaspora achieved,” he remarked on NDA’s foreign policy.
On internal security, he pointed out at daily attacks on Indian paramilitary forces in Naxal dominated areas and terrorist attacks in Punjab. NDA Government shrunk the Indian economy as it is not growing beyond 4.5 per cent, he said adding, “The
situation in agriculture sector is so pitiable that people from rural India, who earlier had benefit of MNREGA, are now beginning to migrate to urban areas.”
