Fighting one of the most crucial battles of his life, RJD chief lalu Prasad Yadav is leaving no stone unturned to ensure he emerges victorious in the general elections. The Bihar strongman is busy these days consulting astrologers, pundits and babas to ward off evil forces harming his party’s prospects in the upcoming lok Sabha poll.
Known for his penchant for astrologers, soothsayers and tantriks, lalu has, this time around, also consulted a Vaastu Shastra expert. On the Vaastu expert’s advice, the swimming pool at his wife Rabri Devi’s residence, 10 Circular Road, where he lives with his family, has been filled up with mud and a new one will be built at another location.
Party sources said that as per Vaastu Shastra, the swimming pool in which Rabri Devi had been performing the auspicious Chhath Puja for long was not at the proper place and was “harming the party’s prospects”.
The RJD chief reportedly also believed that it was because of this that many of his party leaders have deserted him, of late, the most prominent among them being his long time loyalist Ram Kripal Yadav. Besides, of course, his own “misfortune” of going to jail in the fodder scam.
Though lalu Prasad denied filling up of the swimming pool had anything to do with Vaastu, his younger son Tejaswi Yadav spilled the beans before the mediapersons by revealing it was not in the proper direction.
“We’ll dig another pond at a right place in right direction. According to Vaastu Shastra the swimming pool with water was not in the proper direction so it was filled up with soil”, said Tejaswi Yadav. lalu stakes are high this elections as his eldest daughter Misa Bharti will be contesting against his long-time ‘Hanuman’ Ram Kripal Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi against BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy. “So, apparently he doesn’t want to take any chance in this election which could make or mar his political career,” said an observer.
Interestingly, when the word spread around, some saffron-clad astrologers, sadhus and tantriks have started thronging lalu’s residence to “bless him” for his win and also to “ward off evil forces from his kundali”.
lalu had recently gone UP to meet one Pagla Baba and Aughar Baba seeking their blessings before plunging into the poll arena. One of such sadhus, who said his name was Awadhoot Bhagwan, was found sitting at lalu’s residence recently. “I’ve come all the way from Mathura and I can foresee the future quite precisely. I’ve come here to tell laluji what he should do in the elections to win”, said the septuagenarian Baba.
Another one by the name Mati Gadi, 70, came from West Champaran district in Bihar. He claimed to be a specialist in warding off evil-eyes which apparently had been cast on the RJD chief. Security personnel deputed at lalu’s residence are having a hard time dealing with them.
