Dense fog grounded Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and he was forced to travel by road from Saifai to lucknow resulting in rescheduling of the Cabinet meeting that was slated for Monday.
An official spokesman said that Cabinet meeting that was to be held on Monday at 11 am would now be held on Tuesday 11 am. “The meeting was first re-scheduled for 4 pm on Monday but once it was clear that Chief Minister would not able to make it has been re-scheduled for Tuesday,” he said.
The state cabinet is expected to give approval for commencing metro rail at Agra, Meerut, Kanpur and Varanasi. It also plans job opportunity for youth and strengthen delivery system.
Official said that Yadav was scheduled to return to lucknow by 10 am from Saifai, his native village in Etawah, where he had gone to partake in Saifai Mahotsava. His departure was delayed as the state-owned chopper could not fly due to dense fog.
later he started his journey by road from Etawah enroute Kannauj, parliamentary constituency of his wife Dimple Yadav. I the road he stopped at many places to enquire about the pace of development. He also met friends and party workers. Yadav uploaded a picture of him having coffee at a roadside dhaba.
