A 40-year-old sub-inspector of Delhi Police was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside his house in East Delhi on Sunday.
SI Pawan, a native of Bihar, was found lying unconscious in a pool of blood at his house in Triveni Apartment in Vivek Vihar area on Sunday evening, police said. According to police, Pawan's wife, who along with their children is on a visit to Bihar for Chhat Puja, had been trying to reach him on his mobile phone since morning. Worried, she called up their neighbour who then broke open the door of their house and found Pawan in a pool of blood.
The sub-inspector was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead, they said. Police suspect that Pawan in an inebriated condition fell from a particular height and died due to internal injuries.
