The Delhi Government on Monday wrote a letter to all three Municipal Corporation Commissioners on non-payments of salaries and other dues to the doctors, medical, para medical and other staff working in the Hindu Rao and Kasturba Hospital under the MCD.

The letter read , “The MCDs should expeditiously clear the salaries of the medical staff of these hospitals, and in case they are unable to pay the salaries and handle the hospitals, 'they may consider handing over their hospitals to Delhi government to avoid any further anguish to medical, para medical and other staff and inconveniences to patients/relatives/citizens of Delhi during ongoing Covid pandemic.”

Satyendar Jain said, "Resident doctor association of above hospitals have threatened to go on strike if their dues are not cleared on time and MCD failed to meet the deadlines for paying them on time.
