'Delhi Govt trying to hide corruption cases by announcing alternative health services'

Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari on Saturday said that the alternative health services announced through big advertisements in various newspapers by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Government is only an attempt to divert the attention of the people from the cases of corruption against the present Government.

“Presenting last three budgets Kejriwal Government had declared to increase 50 per cent in the budget allocations for the health services and claimed for providing all the medicines free of cost besides making all its hospitals, super specialty hospitals like the AIIMS,” said Tiwari.

“Now the Kejriwal Government has completed about half of its term and this deception of providing health services through the private hospitals is complete admission of its failure to provide health services to the people,” he added.

“After fraud by PWD and Health Minister Satyender Jain, it seems that this scheme to provide health services through the private hospitals will be new opportunity for corruption,” he said further.

Vijender Gupta, leader of Opposition (lOP) in Delhi Assembly said, “The announcement made by the AAP clearly indicates that this Government has neither negotiated nor made any agreement with the empanelled hospitals and diagnostic centers.

“The private hospitals have commercial rates for surgical treatments and it is not feasible for any Government to pay at such rates. In such situation the Government must tell how they will arrange for the treatment of the people,” the lOP said while addressing the media at Delhi BJP headquarters.

Mentioning about the AAP’s manifesto, the BJP leader asked, “What happened to its promises made in the manifesto for establishing 900 new primary health centers, addition of 30,000 beds in the Government hospitals, including 4,000 beds for maternity centers and providing five beds of international standards per 1,000 peopleIJ”

“Kejriwal Government has lost creditability in case of health services just like in the other services provided by the Government and this deception of private hospital treatment is just like the promise of Mohalla Clinics, Swine Flu & Dengue clinics and free medicines,” he said.
