Mukesh Kumar Meena, the chief of anti-corruption branch (ACB), has been transferred to Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Meena, a 1989-batch IPS officer, is holding an additional charge as the joint Commissioner of Police of New Delhi range.
His transfer orders were issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday. Meena has been at loggerheads with the Kejriwal Government and has been accused of interfering in probe. Muktesh Chander, currently posted as Special Commissioner of Traffic, has been sent to Goa as the new DGP. He will take charge from TN Mohan, who has been transferred back to Delhi.
TS luthra, the Joint Commissioner of Police Prime Minister’s security will be the new IGP of Chandigarh in place of RP Upadhyaya, who has been transferred to Delhi. Praveer Ranjan, IGP Puducherry, has been sent back to Delhi while SK Gautam, Joint Commissioner of Police Central Range will take his place. DCP South Prem Nath has been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh.
