DCW chief files police plaint against AAP leader Vishwas

In fresh trouble for Aam Aadmi Party, Delhi Commission for Women Chief Barkha Singh Shukla filed a police complaint against senior AAP leader Kumar Vishwas alleging that she is being harassed by the AAP volunteers and Kumar’s associates.

Singh said that she has been receiving threat calls since the matter of Kumar Vishwas’ illicit relation row came into light. Singh had filed a complaint at Safdarjung Police Station against Vishwas on Tuesday.

The DCW chief also added that she has been getting obscene messages on WhatsApp and that abuses were hurled upon her as she came out of her residence.

Previously, the DCW had written to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the lieutenant-Governor and Commissioner of Police alleging that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Kumar Vishwas are strategically sending AAP workers to create ruckus in the commission and thereby hindering their proceedings in the matter.

Earlier this month, the DCW chief had issued summons to Vishwas after an AAP volunteer accused him of not rebutting "rumours" about an illicit liaison with her and ruining her reputation. Vishwas has defied two consecutive DCW’s summons and has kept mum on this issue.
