A day after Ram Naik had expressed concern over law and order of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that he has ‘very good’ relations with the Governor and would go to Raj Bhawan to greet him on occasion of Diwali.

“I enjoy very good relations with Governor sahib. I recently met him during a function at Raj Bhawan and will go again to greet him on Diwali,” Yadav told reporters here on Tuesday.

CM’s reaction came after Monday’s press conference of Governor in which he said that there was scope of improvement in law and order. He even questioned whether the lucknow Metro would start on time. CM however preferred to play down the issue by saying he has good relations with Governor.

When questioned about Samajwadi Party’s national convention in which a resolution was passed criticising Raj Bhawan Yadav said many a things were said during that conclave. And the resolution does not mean only Uttar Pradesh.

Elaborating on the achievements of his Government CM said that work on metro is going on in a fast pace. Construction of depot and pillars have started. “Not a minute is being wasted in the Metro work,” he said.

“Government is working for the betterment of the State. New companies like HCl and Medanta are coming to lucknow. More business houses have shown interest in investing in the State. Things are moving in the right direction,” Chief Minister said.  The CM also said the Government was considering to distribute normal rickshaws to the poor as there was delay in distribution of solar or motorised rickshaw as decided earlier.

Talking about surprise inspection at a primary school in Mohanlalganj he admitted that standard of basic education was poor.
