Senior backward class leader D Srinivas appears to be on his way out from the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti and was likely to re-join the Opposition Congress party. This looks imminent after the TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao did not grant him an appointment in the backdrop of a raging controversy in the party over his alleged anti-TRS and pro-BJP activities.
KCR’s daughter and TRS MP from Nizamabad K Kavitha wrote a letter to her on behalf of the other leaders from the district seeking his removal from the party.
D Srinivas denying any wrong-doing on his part has refused to give any clarification saying he will do so only to the Chief Minister.
D Srinivas who was earlier in the Congress and served as a Minister and the State party president had joined the TRS in 2015 on an invitation from KCR and was also made member of Rajya Sabha and the advisor with cabinet rank.
The allegations against D Srinivas had started making round ever since his son D Aravind had joined the BJP a few months ago. Many TRS leaders complained that he was extending help to Aravind. But Aravind has denied the allegation and said that unlike Kavitha he did not ask or need the help from his father.
