Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), North East Circle, Manoj Arora conducted a safety inspection on Bhatni-Peokol Halt under the Bhatni-Aunrihar doubling project in Varanasi Division of North Eastern Railway (NER) on Friday in order to upgrade passenger facilities and expand the infrastructure for operational ease. He was accompanied by Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) SC Srivastava, Divisional Railway Manager (Varanasi) Vineet Kumar Srivastava and many other senior officers. CRS Manoj Arora started his inspection from km 2.55 from Bhatni railway station with the motor trolley and measured the track fittings, ballast levelling, liner and standard distance of signal posts from the track. After this, he conducted safety tests of curve number 2 and minor bridge number 4 and checked all the parameters in depth. After this, he inspected the major bridge number 5 situated at km No 3.68 and 3x12 apart from checking the composite girder and foundation. Then, he also measured curve numbers 3 and 4 and checked the indent. After this, the CRS checked the RCC box of minor bridge number 6 and 7 and then inspected the point and crossing of turn out number 207B, 202A and 202B at Peokol Halt station. During this he also checked gauge testing and the safety system. At the end of the inspection, he conducted a safety inspection of the level crossing gate number 4 located at km 5.7 and tested the safety knowledge of the gate man. Arora checked all the safety parameters like line fittings, installation of signals, cushioning of ballast, standard condition of overhead line and bridges and culverts. The other officers who were also present were Chief Project Manager (CPM) of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) Kamal Kumar Talreja, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM/Infra) Roshan Lal Yadav, Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer (Construction) Neelabh Mahesh, Chief Signal Engineer (CSE) Gyan Prakash Shivnarayan, Chief Engineer (Construction) Panna Lal, Chief Engineer (Construction) Ashutosh Mishra, Senior Divisional Engineer-III Anuj Verma, Senior Divisional Operations Manager (SDOM) AP Singh, Senior Divisional Safety Officer (SDSO) Balendra Paul, Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (Traction) RN Singh, Senior Divisional Signal and Telecommunication Engineer Rajat Priya and some other NER and RVNL officers and employees.
