Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that some people have spread rumors that gau maans (cow meat) is being exported from Uttar Pradesh because this Government is committed to protect cow and anybody found guilty of harassing cow will be punished. Yogi was speaking in a “Protect Cow” sammelan organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) here on Sunday. “This is a lie that cow meat is being exported from Uttar Pradesh in the name of beef. Not a gram of cow meat is out of sale because the people who deal with this business know that if they mal-treat cow they will be punished,” CM said.
