The Enforcement Directorate whose team of officials were on Friday attacked by the supporters of a local Trinamool Congress strongman during a raid in connection to the ration scam has said that the Bengal Police had intentionally diluted first information report so as to help the attackers
“They have intentionally avoided sections under attempt to murder and obstruction to public servants on duty apparently to make the light... They have only given bailable sections when our officers were attacked by more than a thousand people... They were injured and had to be hospitalized... Their vehicles were broken,” an ED official said.
Meanwhile in an apparent bid to correct the alleged “mischief” done by the police a PIL has already been filled in Calcutta High Court and is scheduled to be heard on Thursday.
