Controversial political figure T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy on Monday returned to the Congress fold after a gap of two years. Jagga Reddy, a former Congress MlA and influential figure during YS Rajasekhar Reddy regime, had bitterly opposed the formation of Telangana State and had joined the BJP before the 2014 elections.
Jagga Reddy who was formally welcomed backed into the Congress ranks by Telangana Congress president Uttam Kumar Reddy told the reporters that he will fight tooth and nail against the Telangana Rashtra Samiti Government.
“My programs will make the TRS Government tremble and even the Ministers will have to think before coming to my home, Sangareddy,” he said expressing confidence that the people of Sangareddy will re-elect him in 2019.
Sangareddy was part of Medak, the home district of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Jagga Reddy alleged that the TRS Government was not paying any attention to the problem of farmer suicides. On his days in the BJP he said, “I don’t know why I joined the BJP.”
