Conspiracy won't stop Modi: Rajnath

BJP national president Rajnath Singh on Sunday said that no conspiracy (of anti-Modi forces) would be able to stop BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to become PM after the 2014 loka Sabha polls.

Referring to the recent setting up of a parallel commission of Central Government on the issue of phone-tapping of a woman in Gujarat, Singh said that such conspiracies (of Congress) will ultimately prove to be futile.

“lord Rama finally got his throne despite conspiracies hatched by Manthara. Even lord Krishna took birth after seven kids were killed by his uncle Kansa. Bhagwan ke ghar der hai andher nahi (Justice is delayed but not denied by the Almighty),” said Singh citing mythological examples.

The BJP national president was addressing a mammoth rally here at Prabhat Tara ground on Sunday.

“I urge you not to look at the candidate, constituency, party or even State. Just look at the leader of the masses and vote for him to make his way clear to Delhi. I urge people of Jharkhand to gift all 14 lok Sabha seats to Narendra Bhai Modi,” the party’s president said.

Mocking at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Singh said that for six years the then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee successfully controlled inflation despite economic sanctions against India after nuclear tests but the incumbent PM has not been able to do so till now. “The PM is tired and he finally said that he did not have any magic wand to improve the economy of the country. Well, Narendra Bhai Modi has the magic wand. let him come to Delhi and they will see the magic,” he said.

Talking about Jharkhand, Singh said that the first Prime Minister of the country Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had mocked at the demand of a separate State of Jharkhand. They (Congress) suppressed the genuine demand of the people for over 50 years and the dream was finally actualised by Atal ji,” he said.

On the prevailing political instability in Jharkhand, Singh said that the situation will continue unless the Assembly seats were not increased. “Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda had recommended for increasing the seats from 81 to 150 but the Centre seems to be sitting idle on the proposal,” he said.

“There is no electricity in hundreds of villages and towns across Jharkhand in 13 years. ISM Dhanbad has not been given status of IIT till now. NTPC power plant is getting delayed. And most importantly, the loan on Jharkhand has touched the figure of Rs 36,000 crore from Rs 6,000 crore in last 13 years. This is the situation here,” he cited examples.

Ironically, Singh mocked at the Congress that it had deputed a Super CM here and Secretaries do not listen to Ministers. Moreover, industries were getting closed across the State resulting into mass unemployment and the only industry surviving here was that of transfer-postings of officers, he added.

Calling himself a part of Jharkhand and familiar with the history and the place the party president appealed to people that they cast their votes to choose Modi as their PM in the upcoming lS polls. This would the step forward for a brighter and developed nation, he said.
