Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik strongly targeted the Central Government in the Kisan Panchayat held in Gonda’s Bhyamal Kheda. He said that there is a conspiracy to destroy the farmers in Delhi. If the agricultural laws had been enforced, the lands of the farmers would have gone. The eyes of the Government are on our stomach, land and employment. The Government, which sent condolences on the death of the bitch, remained silent on the death of 700 farmers.
Satya Pal Malik called upon the farmers that the battle would have to be fought again. Wherever you need me, I will come to join you in the battle and sit with you . This time the battle will be one-way. If you miss, you will keep asking for the rest of your life. He said that during the farmers’ agitation in the last days, I went to meet the Prime Minister keeping my resignation in my pocket. I said sir it has been 11 months, none of your men are talking. You don’t know them, they will go when you leave. But then the Prime Minister did not pay heed to me. Malik also took a dig at Adani and Ambani.
Referring to Baba Amani, Charan Singh, Chhotu Ram, he said that Chaudhary Chhotu Ram had left the battle of MSP. He did not obey the orders of the Viceroy. Today the Viceroy is fixing the price of farmers’ crops. Every year the farmer of India are getting poorer. Farmers are being ruined in such a way that they are not even aware.
Regarding his tenure as Governor of Bihar, J&K, Goa, he said that when he opposed corruption, then he was removed. He said that he informed the Prime Minister about the corruption happening in Goa, but the Prime Minister supported corruption, not me.
Satya Pal Malik asked the farmers to pay special attention to education, especially the education of daughters.
