Household items of four Indian diplomats are stuck at the Wagah border for the past one month as the
Pakistani side, allegedly, has not given permission for its entry to the country.
Sources said the truck carrying the diplomats’ consignment is withheld by the Pakistani Rangers and has not been released despite several requests from the Indian side. In fact, the Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan TCA Raghavan has also written to the Pakistan Foreign Office for its interference for early release of the truck. However, no movement has taken place on this so far.
The matter is now going to be taken up by the Indian side during the talks between Director General Border Security Force and DG Pakistan Rangers that begins on Thursday in New Delhi.
