In a political setback for Congress in Amethi, the parliamentary constituency of Rahul Gandhi, Anant Vikram Singh, son of Congress Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh, joined the BJP along with his over 100 supporters.
State BJP president laxmikant Bajpai was present during the joining of Anant at the State party headquarters here on Sunday. Anant said that he admired the policies of Narendra Modi and hence decided to join the party. “He is a doer and working to build a strong nation. There is a passion for Modi all across India and I am one of the admirers of Modi,” he said.
Anant’s elder sister Mahima is also slated to join the BJP too in next few days. Anant said that though he has differences with his father over some personal dispute but he will certainly try to meet his father to convey him about his decision to join the BJP.
