In one of her scintillating speeches, J Jayalalithaa, the AIADMK general secretary, described on Monday the Congress and the DMK as synonyms of corruption and misrule. “The Congress and the DMK represents 2G spectrum scam, Coal Scam and Commonwealth Games Scam. If I start listing the corruption charges against the Congress and the DMK, I may need many hours to complete it. The Congress and the DMK are parties rejected by the people,” charged Jayalalithaa on Monday while addressing a mammoth election rally at the union territory of Puducherry.
She described N Rangasamy, the Chief Minister of Puducherry as a big cheat and fraud. “If the Congress is corrupt, Rangasamy is a big cheat. It will be like that only. Please remember that Rangasamy was a Congress man. His All India NR Congress is an offshoot of the Congress and hence an anti-people party,” thundered Jayalalithaa.
Jayalalithaa, who was making her first trip to Puducherry since 2014, promised the people of the union territory that all freebees being given to the people of Tamil Nadu would be given to the union territory too if they elect an AIADMK Government in the May 16 election. The people of Puducherry will go to the polls on May 16 to elect a new 30 member Assembly in the union territory.
“Whatever freebees are given to the people of Tamil Nadu, let it be Amma Hotels, Amma Pharmacy, 20 kg free rice or Green Houses, or free lap tops and study materials to school and college students, it would be made available to the people in Puducherry. You will see Puducherry progressing by leaps and bounds if you elect an AIADMK Government,” said Jayalalithaa.
