The Congress on Friday suspended its former Andhra Pradesh unit president Botsa Satyanarayana on the charges of anti-party activities. His suspension was announced by the State Congress president N Raghuveera Reddy amid reports that Botsa was likely to join YSR Congress Party on Sunday. “The party decided to suspend him as what he was doing was wrong. I spoke to him twice at the directions of the party high command but there was no change in his attitude”, he said. However, Botsa’s supporters say he had resigned from the Congress three days ago and action against him by the party was irrelevant.
