Cong should be declared anti-national party: Sukhbir

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal on Thursday said the Congress should be declared as anti-national party claiming that the agenda for November 10 congregation of Sarbat Khalsa was inspired by the party and the State Government has evidence of foreign agencies being behind the congregation.

Addressing newspersons after a Cabinet meeting here, the Deputy CM said investigations had proved close coordination of Congress leaders with the organisers of the November 10 gathering. Pointing finger at rival party, he said that Congress had a hand in drafting of the resolution for the event.

“The Congress has emerged as the axis around which the whole conspiracy revolves. Evidence indicates of Congress aligning with elements

having secessionist agenda.” said Badal. Government had handed over the investigation to CBI just to avoid any doubts and the evidence collected will be given to the CBI.

Castigating Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for trying to whip up communal sentiments through social media, he said that both the parties are running a malicious and seditious campaign on the social media just to disturb the social atmosphere and destabilise the Government. Issuing a warning against any kind of misuse of social media, he said that anybody who will try to disturb peace and communal harmony in the State through social media will be severely dealt with.

Expressing confidence of the success of Sadbhawna Rallies in the State, Badal, also the SAD President, said that he did not want to make any claims about the rallies but the rallies will speak on their own.
