Cong releases ‘mohabbat ki dukaan’ video as fight goes virtual

In the ongoing fierce social media battle between the two, the Congress has released an animated video that depicts the BJP employing divisive tactics while portraying Rahul Gandhi as the unifying force who dismantles a “market of hate” (nafrat ka bazaar) and replaces it with a “shop of love” (mohabbat ki dukaan).

The one minute and 43-second video, shared on the official Twitter handle of the Congress , showcases an animated character of Prime Minister Narendra Modi driving a chariot with democracy, media, and bureaucracy symbolically chained on top. Although the video did not explicitly mention elections, the online exchange between the two parties on social media has become increasingly heated.

The animated video also features Home Minister Amit Shah attempting to create a divide between a Hindu and a Muslim individual. However, Rahul intervenes and brings the two communities together.

The video highlights Rahul’s Bharat Jodo Yatra as he walks across the country, uniting people. The iconic song “kisi ki muskuraahaton pe ho nisaar” from the movie “Anari,” with modified lyrics, plays in the background.

The modified lyrics convey the message, “sabhi ke vaaste ho jiske dil mein pyaar, Gandhi usi ka naam hai” (whose heart is filled with love for everyone, Gandhi is his name).

In one scene, Rahul is seen traveling in a truck, and as he passes a signboard reading “market of hate” (nafrat ka bazaar), it falls down, revealing a backdrop of a “shop of love” (mohabbat ki dukaan). The Congress shared the video on Twitter with the caption “mohabbat ki dukaan.”

During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul had stated that he was opening “shops of love” in the “market of hate,” which has now become a recurring theme for the Congress party’s future political endeavors.

Responding to Rahul’s “shop of love” narrative, BJP Chief J P Nadda recently retorted that the former Congress president was not running a “shop of spreading love” but had instead established a “mega shopping mall of hatred.”
