Elated by the High Court decision striking down the disqualification of its two legislators from Telangana legislative Assembly, the Congress party has launched a fresh offensive against the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Describing the orders of the High Court setting aside the disqualification of K Venkat Reddy and AS Sampath Kumar as a violation of the constitution and against the rules of Telangana legislature, a “slap on the face” of the Government, the State Congress leaders have demanded the resignation of the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary.

Alleging that the TRS Government had expelled the Opposition from the State Assembly to prevent them from raising their voice on the people’s problem Uttam Kumar Reddy said, “the High Court judgment marks the beginning of the end of KCR Government”. Addressing a public meeting in Khammam as part of the State wide tour by the Congress leaders he said the TRS defeat in 2019 was  certain.

Mohammed Ali.Shabbir, leader of Opposition in Telangana legislative council today both CM KCR and the speaker Madhusudhanachari should resign in view of the High Court orders. “Both KCR and Speaker put their personal vendetta and agenda above democratic norms and business rules of the house. The court had exposed the true colors of  the Speaker for not upholding the constitution and yielding to the Government pressure”,  he said.

K Venkat Reddy, after offering a thanksgiving worship at Rama temple in Bhadarachalam called KCR anti Dalit and a covert agent of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Both of them were targeting the Dalits”, he said.
