Blaming opposition party Congress for copying BJP ruled Government’s initiative, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel on Thursday said that leader of opposition Shankersinh Vaghela’s lok Darbar is nothing but carbon copy of her Government’s lok Samvad Setu programme.

Making mockery of the Congress party the Chief Minister term its members ‘copycats’ and criticised them for doing things ‘without brains’. She said this at a rally while taking a dig at Congress party for ‘copying’ Gujarat Government’s lok Samvad Setu programme by holding lok Darbars in taluka headquarters.

“They are not using brains in copying too. If they indeed used brains then India would not have become Congress Mukt,” Patel told the gathering. She went on to say that Congress did not have ability to do anything original and therefore it copied lok Samvad Setu programme.

“I, along with my Ministers and Government officials, go to the people and solve their issues on the spot. Congress cannot solve even one issue as they cannot. What is the use of holding such darbars thenIJ” she said.

The Chief Minister also launched the Central Government’s Ujala Scheme at a function in Vadodara in order to provide energy-saving lED bulbs. The event

included distributing lED bulb, solar home lamps, solar fans and certificates for electricity connections to the beneficiaries. She directed the administration to install boards about benefits to ration card holders at fair price shops.

Speaking on the occasion, she said the Narendra Modi-led BJP Government’s pro-people decision to provide lED bulbs would not only save electricity bill but also emit good quality light. She said the BJP Government showed the way to serve the people in the last 60 years which the Congress Government could not.

Talking in detail about the pervasive gloom during the previous Congress’ rule at the Centre particularly with prejudice towards Gujarat and how the current Government restored feel good factor, such as permitting raising the height of SSP dam on the Narmada within 17 days of coming to power stipulating its completion March 2017. The winds of Congress-free India has already begun and spreading fast across India.
