Cong: BJP has become biggest Non-Performing Authority (NPA) to India

The Congress on Friday said that BJP has become the biggest NPA (Non Performing Authority) to India and its citizens. The party alleged that unemployment has risen and the corporate sector has taken a hit, but the Modi Government is relying on statistics to create an illusion of economic growth.

“Only 24 months are left with them to take some tangible and real steps of governance. We demand the BJP that it listens and implements what it promised for jobs and welfare of Farmers. BJP has become the biggest NPA for this country. Ease of Doing Business, has Become Cease of Doing Business,” said Congress spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi.

Singvi said while the lion of ‘Make in India’ is snoozing, the figures of Manufacturing Sector (PMI) are again at a three-month low. “In fact, since the BJP Government has come to power, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) has always seen a downward trend. A simple graph illustrates that trend; this is despite the Government recently changing the base year of IIP from 2004-05 to 2011-12 and even the method of calculation,” Singhvi said at AICC briefing.
