The BJP is not looking for "post-poll alliances" as National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is confident of winning "comfortable majority" in the lok Sabha on its own.
Stating this, former BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu said as third phase of polling was over, the BJP was much ahead of others in the race with the Congress left far behind.
"If some parties want to support us after the election results that issue the party would consider separately", the BJP leader, one of the key member of Central Parliamentary Board said but affirmed that his party would perform exceedingly well in the elections and thus would not require post-poll backing from other parties.
Naidu claimed that the BJP "would get comfortable majority" as his round of poll trip to Tamil Nadu , Odisha, Karnataka, Kerala, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar and elsewhere indicated people's "overwhelmingly" backing to Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi .
He said of the 132 seats in South India, BJP will get around 30 seats ,open party's first account in Kerala and improve its tally in Karnataka.
Naidu said for the first time in 45 years, Tamil Nadu had a non-DMK and non-AIADMK poll alliance was in the reckoning under the BJP and in Andhra Pradesh BJP-TDP partnership was also rocking, he maintained.
"There is no discussion in the party for the post-poll alliances. I am saying it officially", the Senior BJP leader asserted.
Naidu said he was saying so after discussing the issue at length with top party leaders including Rajnath Singh, lK Advani, Modi, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley.
