A 24-year-old bus conductor died on Sunday morning after he got sandwiched between two buses inside Sewa Nagar cluster bus depot near lodhi Colony. Even though prima facie, it seemed to be an accident, police have not ruled out the possibility of foul play and are looking for the errant bus driver, identified as Santosh, who fled the crime scene immediately after the incident.
This is the second such incident inside bus depots in Delhi. On March 15, a 26-year-old bus conductor was mowed down by a cluster bus at a bus depot in outer Delhi’s Kanjhawala. Eyewitnesses told the police that the errant driver drove his vehicle rashly and grazed the front right side of his bus against the other parked cluster bus while the bus conductor, identified as Mohammad Tariq, was standing on the front left footboard. The impact of the scrape was such that Tariq’s intestine came out of his body and he died on the spot.
