A 24-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her colleague on Wednesday night in South Delhi’s RK Puram area. The accused Gaurav (26) who is a native of Bihar, was later arrested by the police.
According to the police the incident took place around 7:30pm on Wednesday. The victim and the accused work as sales executive at a firm in Motinagar. They met around three months back and developed a friendship and started meeting each other daily. On the fateful day, the accused took the victim to his flat in RK Puram area.
An argument ensued among the two and the accused allegedly raped her. He then threatened her of dire consequences and asked her to leave his residence. On the basis of the victim’s statement a case of rape was registered against the accused. A medical examination of the victim was conducted which confirmed rape.
