Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed his Government’s commitment to swift and transparent governance during his Janata Darshan at the Gorakhnath Temple on Friday morning. Engaging with around 200 citizens, the Chief Minister attentively heard their grievances and collected petitions, directing officials to act promptly and fairly.
The public interaction was held outside the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhavan, where CM Yogi met residents one-on-one, issuing on-the-spot instructions to administrative and police officers. “Do not worry.
The Government is committed to taking effective action on every issue,” he reassured people gathered there.
In response to complaints involving criminal activities and illegal land encroachments, the Chief Minister issued firm directives to police officers to take stringent action against land mafias and criminals. “If any influential person or mafia is forcibly occupying someone’s land, they must face strict legal action. No one harassing the poor will be spared,” he warned.
Several individuals approached the Chief Minister seeking financial assistance for medical treatment. CM Yogi assured that no treatment would be delayed due to lack of funds and instructed officials to prepare and submit medical cost estimates promptly to facilitate speedy disbursement of aid. He also emphasised ensuring seamless healthcare access under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, directing that cards be issued immediately to eligible persons yet to receive them.
The Janata Darshan also witnessed emotional moments as women attended with their children. CM Yogi interacted warmly with the young visitors, offering them chocolates and blessings.
Earlier in the morning, the Chief Minister followed his daily spiritual routine at the Gorakhnath Temple. After offering prayers to Shivavatar Guru Gorakhnath and paying homage at the samadhi of his spiritual mentor, Brahmalin Mahant Avedyanath, he visited the temple’s cowshed (gaushala). There, in a heartwarming gesture, he affectionately called out to cows by name — Shyama, Gauri, Ganga and Bhola. Responding to his familiar voice, the animals approached him as he gently caressed and fed them jaggery, showcasing his compassion for all living beings.
Adding to the day’s warmth, a group of young martial arts students — mostly girls — visited the temple to wish the Chief Minister a belated happy birthday. Greeting him with roses and warm smiles, they said, “Happy Birthday, Maharaj ji!” In return, CM Yogi blessed them, offered chocolates, and watched them perform martial arts routines. He interacted with the children, asked about their training, and posed for photos.
Though CM Yogi, having embraced the ascetic path, does not celebrate his birthday, citizens across the state marked his 53rd birthday on Thursday with community events and goodwill gestures.
The Friday morning tribute by the children added a personal touch to those celebrations.
