After CM Yogi’s call of research for new technology in the field of locks, a ray of happiness lightens the face of businessmen. They believe that if the government will launch schemes to develop the industry here only then will new technology be developed.

Without government initiative, this work is not possible because of the non-availability of advanced machinery. Manufacturers here are mainly depending on foreign countries for mobile, voice and sensor control type advanced locks. Only a modern machine is a solution to develop new technologies of locks in Aligarh. Based on that only our business will be grown and compete in the local and international markets.

CM Yogi had a review meeting through video conferencing. During this, he said that the lock hardware manufacturing sector of Aligarh has immense scope and he emphasized to develop new technology.

This excited the manufacturers.

They said that there is a demand for no-touch in the Corona period, due to which people want to install automatic electronic locks from the main gate of the house to the furniture showroom. The market is growing rapidly. Samsung, Godrej and other brands have launched electronic lock in the local market, but all these are manufactured in Taiwan, China and Korea.

According to Neeraj Agrawal, a lock manufacturer, India is not manufacturing electronic locks. Such a lock would require very large-scale industries and skilled laborers, for this, the government should initiate to open its own common factory center.

Another lock manufacturer Saurav Gupta said that if the government provides a loan at a cheaper rate of interest, Government Depot in Aligarh for Raw Material and technologies like in Korea and Taiwan, then we can also manufacturer electronic lock that can be operate from mobile and sensors.

A year after independence, a British engineer named Johnson used the hand press for the first time. Then came the era of power press. The modern phase of the CNC machine started in the year 2000, meanwhile, laser machine also introduced in the market to cut iron and metal sheets and make designs. These machines designed the Mortis lock for the main gate and furniture lock.
