Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is likely to arrive in the city here on Monday in view of the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who may arrive in his parliamentary constituency on a two-day visit from July 7. It will be the fourth visit of the CM in this holy city within the last few weeks and during the stay, Yogi will visit the site in Wajidpur where Modi will address a public meeting. Besides, the CM will also inspect all the places where Modi is expected to visit during his stay here.

The proposed visit of Modi to Purvanchal (eastern UP) as he will also go to Gorakhpur to attend the centenary celebrations of Gita Press is being considered as important politically to set a tone for forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Since the news about the arrival of Modi came here, both the district administration and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have intensified their preparations. The BJP has planned that about 50,000 people would attend the proposed public meeting of Modi including 5,000 party workers each from all the three assembly constituencies of the city areas.

Besides, it is also expected that Modi will inaugurate several projects and lay the foundation stones of many others. An ambitious project for the redevelopment of the mythological Manikarnika Ghat may also be launched. According to information, apart from this the PM will also give cheques and articles to many beneficiaries of different central government schemes.  Just a few days ago, Yogi had addressed a public meeting at Jagatpur Inter College grounds on Varanasi-Prayagraj highway virtually to kick off the election campaigning for 2024 parliamentary elections and now Modi is also going to address the people which will boost the party’s campaign in this region further.

According to information, after addressing the public meeting, Modi will take a night stay at Officers’ Guest House at Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) where next day, he will interact with some intellectuals before leaving the city.
