Over the past few days rumour pertaining to Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel’s probable visit to USA for the treatment of cancer was making rounds in the political circle of the State. However, the Chief Minister herself dismissed the rumour by saying that her visit to USA and the fatal disease are far from the facts and she is completely fit.
In a lighter vein, Patel gave example of Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying that when Putin didn’t meet people for a brief period rumours were spread on him too. “A faction within the saffron party was allegedly responsible for spreading the rumour that Patel was suffering from cancer,” said a senior BJP leader.
