Taking a jibe at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his party JD(U)’s ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ campaign, senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Friday said he was only doing a drama to seek feedback from public about his governance. “By holding the lathi of lalu Prasad, Nitish has thrown Bihar in the jungle raj. His campaign has backfired as people are asking him uncomfortable questions about law and order situation,” said former deputy CM Modi.
He alleged Nitish visited the houses of only his supporters under heavy security yet he was facing opposition. “The houses Nitish knocked in Patna City on Thursday have returned questions to the CM over Government’s non-performance and bad law and order situation. Nitish is only trying to copy the campaigns started by the BJP but he lacks cadres and credibility to carry forward them as a result they are proving a flop,” said Modi.
The BJP leader also wanted to know from where the fund was coming for such high tech campaigns and how the corporate houses were being pressurised to cough up funds. Also, he alleged, the transfer and posting has been made an industry and source of income by the Government.
Modi asked the people that when the JD(U) leaders knock at their doors they should ask them why the crime graph was rising and why the public from Nalanda to Sitamarhi was forced to take law into their own hands, why the farmers are committing suicide and why their paddy was not procured by the Government, what about the Rs100 crore scam in medicine purchase.
Another BJP leader and leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Nand Kishore Yadav said the law and order situation was enough to suggest that public have lost faith in the RJD and Congress supported JD(U) Government and they are forced to take law into their own hands for instant justice.
