CM: Don't opt for contractual work instead work for UP's development

Asking party workers not to opt for contractual work in Government sector Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi said that UP’s face will change in next two months as people have reposed faith on us and it is workers’ responsibility to ensure BJP fulfills all poll promises.

“I appeal to the party workers and family members of law makers not to seek contract of Government department. Contractual work has always brought bad name to the party. Instead, monitor the development work. Ensure Government schemes are implemented effectively,” Yogi said while addressing BJP workers in Gorakhpur on Sunday.

It was the second day of his visit when Chief Minister had a series of interaction with the party workers, social activists and citizens of Gorakhpur. This was Yogi’s maiden visit to Gorakhpur, from where he is also Member of Parliament, after taking over as CM.

Chief Minister asked workers to inform him about any problem people are facing not only in Gorakhpur but also in other parts of the State. “I will take prompt action if any misdeed is brought to my notice,” he said.

He talked at length about the historic mandate BJP has got in this election. He time and again said that this mandate means responsibility. “I am the Chief Minister and someone is the Minister. It does not mean that we should bask in glory. The posts have given us responsibility. I have already made it clear that those people who are willing to work for 18-20 hours can come and work with us. If they do not have that capacity they are free to part,” he said.

“Our every action is accountable. Therefore, in next two years we will have to work tirelessly, irrespective of the fact that there is sunshine, rain or biting cold. Efforts should be made to ensure that the welfare schemes of the Centre percolate to the last strata of the society, and needy people are able to avail its benefits,” he said reminding people that lok Sabha elections will be held in 2019.

CM said that the priority of his Government is to bring law and order back to rails. The criminals should either mend their ways or leave UP. I have given strict warning to police officials that I will not tolerate non-sense,” he said.

Meanwhile, Yogi started his day at 3:30 am by offering prayers in temple of Gorakhdham. After that UP CM fed fishes in Bhim pond inside premises of the temple. Then he fed cows in temple.

CM also visited Gorakhnath hospital where he met with patients and their assistants. Many visitors and followers of the Mahant Adityanath were thronged at temple to meet him.
