CM apes Raje route to give bad Sandesh for Sankalp

In a bid to negate the impact of Suraj Sankalp Yatra of the State BJP president, the Sandesh Yatra of the ruling Congress party is following the route of its political rivals.

CM Ashok Gehlot and Pradesh Congress Committee president Chandrabhan are embarking on the fifth leg of their yatra on Tuesday in Hadauti region. Raje had concluded her seven-day long second leg of her yatra of this region only a few days back.

Earlier in its fourth leg of the Sandesh Yatra, the Congress had covered the  Vagad and Mewar region, where yatra of Raje was concluded on April 16 after 13 days covering a distance of more then 1300 kilometers.

According to sources close to Gehlot, the strategy of Congress party leaders is to reply the issues raised by Raje in the same area and in similar way. Its leaders are leaving no stone unturned to bring maximum crowd to match the show of Raje. At the same time, leadership of the party is keen to boost the morale of its cadre, who feel depressed after the show of strength by the BJP.

But according to political observers, the yatra of Raje is attracting bigger crowd and overwhelming response compared to the public meetings of Gehlot. The response to Raje’s yatra is spontaneous, whereas  local Congress MlAs and leaders have to work hard to bring  people for the public meetings of Gehlot, they opined.

Now the party leaders are hoping that with the proposed visit of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in second week  of this month, the party cadre would be activated. Gandhi’s two visits of the State is being worked in such a way that he could meet maximum number of grassroots workers, besides addressing some public meetings.
