Close shave for Aditya Thackeray as speeding car rams into his BMW

Shiv Sena’s youth wing president Aditya Thackeray escaped unhurt on Sunday afternoon, after a speeding car jumped a traffic signal and rammed into his BMW car from front side at Kalangar junction, near his residence at Bandra in north-west Mumbai.

Twenty-six-year-old Aditya, son of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, was behind the wheel, when a Maruti Alto jumped the traffic signal and hit his vehicle.

While the bonnet of Aditya’s car was damaged, the right hand doors of the car that collided with the Yuva Sena chief’s vehicle suffered a major dent because of the impact of the mishap.

“Thank you for your concern and calls. I met with an accident being hit by a speeding car that jumped a signal at Kalanagar junction. …Everyone is safe and sound. The car that jumped the signal is fine too. Thank you for the prayers and good wishes that keep us safe,” social media-savvy Aditya tweeted.

Meanwhile, the police gave a clean chit to Aditya and registered a case against the driver of the vehicle that rammed into his car. The erring driver reportedly took responsibility for the mishap.
