In its bid to redress grievances and seek suggestions, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has allowed its jawans and officials in the field formations to share their professional problems and ideas with the top brass over emails. The paramilitary force has received 559 such emails during the last four months and the issues raised in some of them have also been acted upon.
A maximum of 282 emails on CISF Director General’s email has been received on the issue of transfer and posting, out of which 68 were acted upon positively, while in 13 cases regret letters were issued based on the merits of the case. Another set of 37 emails the force headquarters got was about promotions, pensions and official accommodation-related queries. As many as 44 personnel sent suggestions on issues like policy on arms and ammunition, recommendations for the 7th Pay Commission etc.and others.
“I have asked our personnel spread across the country to share their ideas, grievances and any other relevant issues by writing directly to me. We want our men and women to share with us their ideas. I encourage them to send across their views,” CISF DG Arvind Ranjan said.
