A profusely bleeding toddler was rushed to hospital with her parents alleging it to be a case of sexual assault. They took her to a local hospital in Ambedkar Nagar residence from where she was referred to Safdurjung Hospital on Thursday around 6.30pm.
According to the police, however, doctors could not find any apparent injury marks which proved that the toddler had been raped. "Doctors say her medical examination does not point to sexual assault," said P Karunakaran, deputy commissioner of police (southeast), when contacted for comment.
