Centre using RSS to break farmers’ protest, says LYJD

Published on:

Salim Madavoor, national president of the Loktantrik Yuva Janata Dal (LYJD), has alleged that the Centre was trying to break the farmers’ agitation with the help of RSS and other Sangh Parivar elements.

“Inhuman methods are being used by the Narendra Modi Government to break the agitation by the poor farmers in the country. Electric and drinking water supply has been disconnected and Sangh Parivar activists have been fielded by the Centre to create confusion among the striking farmers,” he said in a statement released to the media.

He said that the Union Government was portraying the farmers as Khalistani  terrorists since most of them were from Punjab. “Had the agitating farmers were Muslims, the Government would have portrayed them as Pakistani terrorists,” he charged.

Salim asked the Centre to withdraw the Farm Bills if it has at least a little concern for the farmers in the country. The Loktantrik Yuva Janata Dal leader who had been touring Punjab and Haryana as part of his initiative to get  information from Ground Zero said that the mood of the nation was totally against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
