Demanding that “the RBI should come out with the list and amount of currency notes sent to various States” she said, “the Centre is discriminating among States giving preference to the BJP-run States and neglecting the others.”

She said the Thursday’s rush for money was a clear case of “lack of planning which has put millions of people in jeopardy” Banerjee said the Centre had made false promises of sending Rs500 and Rs1,00 notes “but has sent very of that to Bengal.”

Meanwhile, the State Government employees’ association backed by the Trinamool Congress on Thursday staged a dharna at the regional headquarters of RBI in Kolkata demanding early release of currency notes.
