The CBI has summoned RK Nanda, the travel agent and business partner of European middleman Christian Michel, on Wednesday for questioning in connection with the ongoing probe into the AugustaWestland helicopter deal.
The agency on Tuesday searched the lockers of Nanda in his presence and will grill him on Wednesday, sources said.
Nanda used to get tickets issued for Michel and those referred by him.
Nanda had issued air tickets worth Rs 12 crore between 2009 and 2012.
Michel had formed a company Media Exim in partnership with Nanda. Michel had transferred Rs 6.5 crore to Media Exim for purchase of properties.
Nanda, however, liquidated the assets and transferred the money back to Michel when the helicopter scam came to the fore and the role of Michel as a middleman was highlighted, sources said.
