By setting ED on us, BJP has dug own grave: Raut

As he arrived in Mumbai from the national capital to a hero’s welcome, Shiv Sena MP and chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut said on Thursday that by letting loose the Central investigating agencies on the ruling MVA leaders, the BJP had dug its own grave and that it would not come to power in the next 25 years.

Two  days after the ED attached  property worth `11.5 crore belonging to three persons, including that of his wife Varsha Raut,  under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) case, Raut was accorded a rousing reception by the  Sena workers at the Mumbai airport on his arrival from Delhi.

Talking to media persons at the Mumbai airport, Raut alluded to thousands of Shiv Sainks who had turned out at the airport to welcome him and said: “This is not a show of strength. But, this is what the Shiv Sena is. All the people who have gathered here are Sainiks. Their leaders are being harassed. Seeing that, the Sainiks are agitated. How can you expect them to keep quiet?”.

Launching a vicious attacking against the BJP, Raut said: “What can they (the BJP) do to us? They (BJP) are misusing the central investigating agencies to harass us.  At worst you can put me behind the bars. We’re prepared for any eventuality. At best, you (BJP) can put me behind the bars. I can tell you one thing that they will not come back to power for the next 25 years. They have dug their own grave. Misusing the central agencies they are trying to destroy us.  But, eventually, they will destroy themselves”.

“The very fact that Pawar Saheb took up the issue of the BJP allegedly misusing the central investigating agencies against its rivals, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi proves that the MVA allies are united…” Raut said.
