The Delhi Police Crime Branch on Tuesday claimed to have busted two cases of attempt to murder on two businessmen in Delhi and Ghaziabad area. According to police, a businessman Nitin Arora was arrested on Tuesday along with his two sharpshooters Dhanesh and Muninder Chauhan.
Arora, a real estate agent, was wanted for several other crimes, including bank frauds and rape. According to Joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Yadav, bank frauds to the tune of Rs16 crore, are currently being probed by the CBI. “Nitin Arora (33) had hired two bouncers to keep away bank officials who regularly visited his home to recover the loans. It was one of these bouncers whose help Arora sought to hire the contract killers for killing his old partners,” said Yadav.
In September last year, Arora’s men fired at one of his partner Sandeep Khera but he escaped unhurt. Police said, Khera, a garments merchant, was aware of certain Arora’s malpractices and tried to malign his image. In October, another partner Sanjay Mehta, was also targeted but by Arora’s men but escaped unhurt. Meanwhile, the CBI recently received an email containing details of the banks frauds committed by Arora. That prompted Arora to plan an attack on him.
