Keeping a door ajar for association with the Samajwadi Party, Imam of Delhi Jama Masjid, Mualana Syed Ahmad Bukhari said that only hurdle was Azam Khan who is working against minority community.
While talking to The Pioneer, Bukhari said Azam Khan has got many Government departments but for what when he is doing nothing for Muslims. Instead, he insults employees and staff every time. Even the IAS and PCS officers fear him so much that they do not want to be posted departments headed by him.
Hinting the Samajwadi Party as an option for 2014 lok Sabha elections, he said every Muslim had witnessed the betrayal of the Congress done with the community in past 10 years. They made promises but nothing was done for Muslim welfare. Similarly, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has nothing to do with the community, it has been favouring a specific community and there is no space for the BJP.
“In such a political scenario, the Samajwadi Party is the only option left with Muslims in the State. But the “Minister” in present Government had been hurting the sentiments of community, due to him Muslims could even back off from the SP in the upcoming elections,” said Bukhari.
